I combine my academic research with years of practical experience supporting people through difficult crises. I hold a PhD in Wisdom Studies, where I focused on how ancient philosophies can serve as modern maps for resilience. This focus is central to my practice, Upaya (oo-PAH-yah), a Sanskrit term meaning "skillful means," or the practical application of wisdom to life's challenges. Outside of the university setting, I spent years working in New York City social services, helping individuals find stability during intense personal crises. To ensure my practice meets rigorous professional standards,
I also completed my certification in Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration with Fluence in NYC.
I believe that these experiences can be a profound tool for changing how you view your world and realigning with a more natural perspective. I founded Upaya to help people anchor those insights, providing a reliable and supportive environment so your new perspectives do not get lost to old routines and habits.
True integration takes more than just thinking or analyzing. It requires paying attention to the body. By using breathwork and simple emotional regulation tools, we practice moving smoothly between everyday mental analysis and deeper states of awareness. Whether you are preparing for a legal experience or processing a past journey, we use direct, practical tools to ensure your insights turn into a lasting, meaningful change in your daily life.
"In the psychedelic state, the body often speaks a language that the mind doesn't yet understand. Integration is the process of learning that language—of listening to the breath and the tension and the release—until the insight becomes a lived reality."
